Products Description

VKL11 RCCB Type B VDE KEMA NF

1. General

1.1 Function

VKL11B RCCB and VKL11B+ RCCB is appearance design, compact structure, good reliability, and high safety. They are universal residual current circuit breaker.

Residual current circuit breaker type B are suitable for domestic as well as industrial applications, where are used frequency inverters, PV plant, EV chargers and similar elements. B type provides a sensitivity to residual AC, pulsating and smooth DC current, together with high frequencies up to 1 kHz.

Residual current circuit breaker type B+ meet full type B feature , with additional tripping values are defined up to 20KHZ and they are below 420mA.

They are based on electronic technology, which brings advantages of more accurate measuring of residual current and, as a consequence, reduction of unwanted tripping. These devices also do not suffer with magnetization of the tripping unit.

3. Special features regarding the use of SIQUENCE universal current-sensitive residual current circuit breaker (Type B and Type B+)

3.1 Applications

A Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) is a type of electrical switch that is designed to protect people and equipment from electrical hazards by detecting and disconnecting electrical circuits when a current imbalance is detected. RCCBs are typically used in residential, commercial and industrial settings to provide protection against electric shock and fire hazards.

The main application of an RCCB is to detect the difference in electric current between the live and neutral wires of a circuit. The device is installed in a circuit and monitors the flow of current between these two wires. If there is an imbalance in the current flow, i.e., greater than the rated current, the RCCB trips and disconnects the circuit from the power supply.

RCCBs are commonly used in homes and buildings to protect against electrical hazards caused by faulty wiring, damaged appliances, faulty electrical equipment, and other similar problems. They are commonly used in combination with standard circuit breakers or fuses to provide additional electrical protection.

In summary, the application of an RCCB is to protect people and equipment from electrical hazards by detecting and disconnecting electrical circuits when a current imbalance is detected.
